Full Synopsis

Lynn Richards, COLLETTE O'CONNELL (Angel, Arizona), the spitfire new Talk Show DJ on KBST on Los Angeles tempts her audiences into thinking about the illusions and themes of life. Balancing the jealousies of fellow DJ and Psychologist Angie Mason, MORGAN FAIRCHILD (Holy Man, Freaked, Mob Boss), the expectations of her Manager, RICHARD LYNCH (Armstrong, Werewolf, Little Nikita) and the Station Owner's obsession with ratings – Lynn is on a collision path with the realities of life. Constant nightmares of her father Henry's (BRUCE WEITZ of Deep Impact, The Landlady, Gut Feeling, Molly & Gina) alcohol abuse culminate with the horrible accident that killed her mother and permanently impaired her sister, Carrie.

As a patient unleashes a bloody escape from a nearby Psychiatric Ward, a secret evil from Lynn's past is reborn. As Lynn battles the low ratings, she's informed by Carrie's therapist that Henry has been paroled after 12 years of imprisonment. Suddenly, Lynn receives a call whilst “on the air”. The voice, who identifies himself as Adam, whispers: “I'm a fan, you most loyal fan”.

As Lynn's show gathers a following, the body count begins. Within 24 hours Lynn's mechanic and irritable neighbor are found murdered. Adam's voice calls in again - “I am the bitter truth, death is what we need”. Henry encounters Lynn hoping to find a forgiven past with his daughters. Lynn, however, spurns him, worried for Carrie's safety.

The next day detectives trace the chilling mystery voice on Lynn's talk show to her Station Owner's office. Baffled, they are also suspicious of Henry. As Lynn's quivering voice takes over L.A.'s evening air waves – two more murders occur: Henry and a Detective. The final turn occurs as an angered Lynn beckons Adam “on air” and devastates him with her decision not to allow the radio station to exploit his bloody quest any further – she cuts him off her talk show.

In retaliation, Adam kidnaps Carrie and plans a dangerous rendezvous with Lynn. All of L.A. waits – tuning into the station as the police lose her trail. Carrie lies gagged and tied in the den of a murderer as a chilling confrontation between Lynn and Adam reminds all listeners what can happen when you cross the line form “fan” to “fanatic.”
