Synopsis

Chemist David Palmer (Dennis O’Keefe) returns to his hometown in Indiana to marry a socially ambitious teacher (Ruth Warrick) and meets with Ben Lathrop (John Hoyt), his father’s horse trainer. Palmer marries and becomes wealthy through an invention and as years pass, his father dies. Upon returning to Indiana, Palmer and becomes re-interested in his father’s passion for horseracing, as well as in Lathrop’s daughter, Cissy (Gail Russell).
