SYNOPSIS

Based on a novel by Luke Short, this Western stars Burt Lancaster as Owen Daybright, the adopted son of the Strobie family. Lee Strobie, played by Robert Walker, resents the attention Daybright gets from his father. As they get older, Strobie’s resentment turns to hatred, and he plots to destroy the perfect image his family has for his adopted brother.
